Best Cat GamesA reading room for cozy pet games

Cozy cat games, reviewed properly

Best Cat Games is a small magazine about mobile games with animals in them: cat collectors, pet sims, idle kitchens and the odd frog. We play each game long enough to hit the part where it stops being new, and we write about that part too.

Roundup

Nine cozy cat games worth a phone slot in 2026

Cozy cat games are no longer a niche with three entries. There are dozens now, most of them competent, a few of them genuinely good. Here are nine that survived a month on my phone, with the honest reason each one might not survive a month on yours.

How we read these games

A cozy game has an easy first hour. Almost all of them do. What separates the ones worth keeping is what happens in week three, when the decorating budget dries up, the timers stretch, and the game starts asking you for something.

So every review here covers three things: the loop, the point where the loop slows down, and what the game does about it. Prices and ad load are part of the review, not a footnote.

What we don't do

We don't run sponsored reviews, we don't take payment for placement, and we don't republish press releases as coverage. Studios are welcome to disagree with us in public.

We also don't score games out of ten. A number flattens exactly the thing a cozy game is good at.
